Lion-Do Fight Club is proud to announce the latest addition to our fight team 155-pound fighter Bob "The Beast" Tipinski (2-3). Tipinski formerly trained at Realistic Fighting Concepts in Uniontown, Pa. under the tutelege of Jeff Hughes. Tipinski was a 3x state qualifier as a wrestler for Burrell High School, one of the top wrestling programs in the state. He is also an amateur boxer with a (2-0) record in the ring. Tipinski will make his Lion-Do debut at the Cage of Chaos/XCFC show in Cheswick, Pa. against an opponent to be determined.
"We're very excited to add Bob Tipinski to our growing roster of mixed martial artists. Anyone who has watched Tipinski in the past knows that he has all the tools to become a pretty special fighter, we hope to put all those tools together and help him reach his fullest potential. Tipinski is facing great competition in practice every week going against guys like Eli and Jesse Garshnick and Justin Head. He has come in and fit in right away with our team and we're glad to have him." said Lion-Do owner Bob Lichtenfels.
Lion-Do heavyweight and owner of Loos Toof Fight Gear Marcus "E.Z." Corson (0-1) will fight at the Cage of Chaos "Anarchy" show on August 29th in St. Clairsville, Ohio against Ken McDonald (0-1) of Pittsburgh Fight Club.
Eli "The Switch" Garshnick who is fresh off a submission victory in his Pro debut will enter the cage again on September 5th at the Iron Will Fighting Championship at the Johnstown War Memorial. Garshnick (1-0) will take on New York native Jamie Friar (1-1). Garshnick who fought all of his previous fights as a middleweight will now be fighting as a welterweight. "Big" Jon Neese (0-0) will be making his Pro debut at heavyweight against another accomplished wrestler Johnny Curtis out of Virginia on the same card.

Lion-Do fighters "The Outlaw" Jesse Garshnick (3-1 0-0), "Big" Jon Neese (4-1 0-0) and Justin "The Kid" Head (3-2 0-0) will all make their Professional MMA debuts at the Valley Fight League "Broad Avenue Brawlers" show in Altoona, Pa on Friday, July 24th. Garshnick will meet West Virginia based welterweight Robert Conner. Neese will battle another local fighter Frank Armstrong (Damage, Inc.) and Head will battle Jay Finnegan (0-1). The card will also feature Carlton "Cruthless" Haselrig and Charlie "The Spaniard" Brenneman.

"Big" Jon Neese (4-1) will fight his last amateur heavyweight fight at the Cage of Chaos "Stacked" show in St. Clairsville, Ohio on July 3rd. Neese of Lion-Do Fight Club will defend his Cage of Chaos Heavyweight title when he takes on Nate "Bamm Bamm" Bryant (3-1) from Dragon's Den MMA

Middleweight Eli Garshnick (6-1) put his All-American wrestling skills to use as he dominated on the ground against a very tough Tyler Beckley (5-2) at the OXF 'Demolition' show on Friday, May 29th in Dayton, Ohio. Garshnick scored a 30-27 unanimous decision over Beckley to win the title and a Pro contract. Garshnick will now face Rich Lictawa (6-3). They will meet in the finals of the Mid-America Fight Series Middleweight Tournament at a time and location to be announced. Garshnick was scheduled to fight Chris Goldbaugh on July 3rd for the Cage of Chaos Middlweight belt, but the fight was scratched after Goldbaugh suffered a broken nose during training. Garshnick is also the current Valley Fight League Middleweight Champion. After the Lictawa fight, Garshnick plans on moving to welterweight.

Corby "The Reaper" Ringle will make his amateur MMA debut April10th in St. Clairsville, Ohio at the Cage of Chaos "Friday Night Fights" show. Ringle will fight Frank Shuman (1-0) from Team RFC.

Lion-Do would like to thank all of our wrestlers and their parents for a wonderful first year. We're very proud of all of our wrestlers. We'd especially like to congratulate John Blankenship (United), John Fetchko (Blairsville), David Kephart (Portage), Adam Weinell (Blairsville), Noah Tarr (Blairsville), Scott Thompson (Blairsville) and Trevor Holupka (United) for advancing to their respective state tournaments. Kephart a sophomore at 171-pounds made it to the PIAA State Championships and our youth wrestlers were in the PJW Championships. John Blankenship captured a state championship 142 pounds in the 13-14 year old division.

In a fight originally scheduled for May 30th, Eli Garshnick (5-1) will head back to Dayton, Ohio on May 29th another Friday Night for the OXF "Demolition" show instead. Garshnick is in the Finals of the OXF Middleweight Tournament. He will face (5-1) Tyler Beckley for the OXF Middleweight title and a chance at a Pro Contract in the Mid-America Fight series.

Lion-Do Fight Club made the long trek to Dayton, Ohio for the OXF - St. Patty's Day Smackdown show run by the UFC's Mike Patt. Lion-Do middleweight Eli Garshnick improved his record to (5-1) with a third round submission win over Chris Mierzwiak (2-2) a (Jorgel Gurgel) fighter via rear naked choke.

Garshnick was a three-time All-American wrestler at UPJ and Mierzwiak wrestled at Miami (Ohio). Garshnick will now advance in the Mid American Fight Series Middleweight Tournament against Tyler Beckley (5-1) who fights out of (Fighters Guild of Findlay). Beckley is the current OXF Middleweight Champion. The belt will be on the line as will a spot in the finals of the MAFS Tournament and a Pro contract.

Garshnick and Beckley will clash at the OXF - Demolition show in Dayton, Ohio on May 30th at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.



Lion-Do heavyweight "Big" Jon Neese (4-1) a former state champion wrestler from Marion Center (Pa.) captured the Cage of Chaos amateur heavyweight title belt on Saturday night at the Cage of Chaos "Evolved" show with a second round TKO victory over "Nasty" Nate Loughran (6-3-1).

Neese joins Eli and Jesse Garshnick as fellow Lion-Do members who currently hold amateur MMA titles.



Lion-Do Middleweight Eli Garshnick (4-1) returned to the cage for the first time since November as he ventured to Winchester, Virginia and the Valley Fight League. Garshnick was the main event at MMA in the Valley 15 where he took on previously unbeaten Joe Harrison (3-1) from Coalition Fight Team in West Virginia for the vacant Middleweight title.
Garshnick, a former two-time NCAA All-American at UPJ used his text book wrestling to secure a single leg takedown. Garshnick followed that up with some ground and pound, before Harrison gave up his back. Garshnick took advantage of the opening securing a rear naked choke and the first round victory by submission. Garshnick and his brother Jesse (3-1) both hold titles for the Virginia federation. Jesse Garshnick is the reigning Welterweight Champion.


George Hyek (2-2) who normally fights at 155-pounds, fought his first fight for Lion-Do and he came away victorious over Clinton Brown (1-1) from The Academy in Fort Bragg, N.C.. Hyek, normally a ground fighter showed that he has picked up his stand-up as he used an impressive combination of kicks and straight punches to get Brown to the ground. After a quick flurry of punches on the ground, Hyek secured the win via TKO in his Lion-Do debut.

Wolfe Cage Fighting has changed the date of their October 18th card to November 1, in Marietta, Ohio. The following Lion-Do members will be fighting on this card. Weigh-In's will be held at Noon on the 18th.

**You must take the beginners Kick Boxing and Ju-Jitsu in order to participate in the MMA Classes, unless you are already a proven fighter or are asked to come to the advanced classes. The beginners classes are open to both Males and Females. To participate in these classes you should have headgear, 16oz boxing gloves, groin protection, Chest protection (females), Amateur MMA gloves 6-8ounces, mouthpiece, handwraps and shin guards with instep. If you do not have the equipment you can purchase it at a very reduced rate from Bob. Go to the Combat Sports International website and price the gear give us your list and we'll give you our price.
